My New Beauty Crush…

by | May 13, 2013 | Uncategorized

As winter fades and I start to pull on my shorts, I’m reminded of why it’s important to moisturize every day.  Staring at the bottle of Vaseline lotion I bought months ago (and have used only a handful of times this winter), I wondered why it’s so hard to take an extra second or two to pump out the lotion and apply it to my body.

The R&D team at Vaseline must’ve asked themselves the same question and decided there had to be an easier way.  Hence, their new Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer, which I tried while I was on our family spring break trip to California.images-7

OMG…love this stuff!  Not only does the bottle resemble a can of sunscreen or hair spray (and what Texas girl doesn’t love hairspray), but it also has a twist–lock top.  Makes traveling stress-free because you can toss it in your suitcase without worrying about cream exploding all over your shorts or shoes at 36,000 feet.

To use it, you simply hold the bottle 3-4 inches from the skin and spray all over in a continuous motion.  The second step is to quickly rub the mist into the skin.  Viola!  My skin looks and feels great.

I’ve been making an effort to use it during the past two weeks, and here is what I like about it:

  • It’s easy to apply (time-saving)
  • It goes on easily and isn’t at all greasy – huge plus!
  • It absorbs right away and I can put my clothes on
  • I love the scent (I use the Pure Oat Extract formula)
  • I can toss it into my bag and go

Honestly, it was hard to come up with a dislike, but if pressed, I’d note it’s a little on the pricey side ($7.99 at Walgreens, which is more than the lonely bottle of cream lotion still sitting unused in my bathroom cabinet).

Anyone else tried it yet?   Give it and go and then come tell us what you think!
