Another lovely Sunday means another opportunity to listen to a great song here on the blog. I’m looking out the window at another sunny spring day. All of the trees on my street have exploded with pink and white flowers. Nature’s signs of dormant life renewed are everywhere. It “looks” hopeful, which is the inspiration for today’s song selection, Jason Mraz’s Make It Mine.
In my opinion, Jason Mraz writes uplifting songs about love and life. The melodies are always catchy, and the lyrics are thoughtful. Make It Mine, in particular, is about chasing your dreams, and energizing yourself and others along the way. I believe we can do that for each other.
Optimism is contagious. If you start down a path and you get support, you will keep reaching until you succeed. The happiness you feel from getting closer to your own goals can inspire you to encourage others to find theirs…and the cycle repeats. That’s what I think this song is all about.
